A biblically sound leader is one that attempts to mimic Jesus’ actions. Matthew 20:28 tells us, “the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” A good leader demonstrates a willingness to serve and puts others first, while having a humble heart. There is a fine line between a powerful worldly leader and a Christian leader who follows Godly principles; the God-fearing leader has no personal agenda. Discernment should be used in comparing a leader who fits God’s standards with a leader who fits the standard of the world because it can be easily deceiving.
