Life’s Work – Business – Kingdom Resources

Maintain Life Balance

As a business owner it is difficult to maintain the proper balance of our time. The demands of running a small business requires an inordinate amount of time with increased government bureaucracy, a litigious society and the day to day demands for sales and service.

Use Resources and Business for Kingdom

Kingdom businesses, those that are dedicated to providing resources for the Kingdom of God. These can be structured for maximum Kingdom impact. Charitable resources coming from businesses have more favorable tax treatment than when they come from the earnings of individuals.

Bless People

It is important to ask God daily to make your work a ministry for His purposes. Pray that God would give you opportunities to serve clients and employees in a way that glorifies him. It is ultimately our responsibility to heed to God’s daily calling and be obedient; God wants us to be servants to others just as Jesus was.

Mentor

Proverbs 15:22 Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed.

Everyone needs the help of a mentor. The guidance that comes from people with experience. We need to look to find godly mentors, and also to be a godly mentor to others.

Provide Encouragement

In order to lead and contribute to a successful business it is important to encourage your employees and co-workers. Encouragement helps give people a desire to work hard while creating a strong level of confidence that helps them work as a team in order to maximize potential.

Ephesians 4:29 “Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.”
